The study of British Literature is one that introduces students to the complexity of (Western/European) literary tradition, and also reveals the depth of Christian influence upon (Western/European) culture. Through this course and the texts we encounter, students will be invited to find layers of meaning that address spiritual, moral and ethical issues that will challenge them to think critically and apply their own Biblical knowledge.
“This is what the LORD says:
‘Stand at the crossroads and look;
ask for the ancient paths,
ask where the good way is, and walk in it,
and you will find rest for your souls.’”
Jeremiah 6:16, NIV
